About the Role

HARMAN is looking for a Sales Director for our Samsung Global business to make the team and business even stronger. We are seeking a senior professional who will play a crucial role in business development, and business proposal creation including leading HARMAN's offerings, value proposition, and

final deal closure.

The role entails working with HARMAN's Sales and Delivery Teams, Geographical Business Units, and SME's to develop and present business solutions, align business needs, and position HARMAN's experience and services as key a differentiator and competitive advantage.

This person must be comfortable mapping business requirements into HARMAN capabilities and services, suggesting delivery methodologies, defining financial models, prerequisites, and dependencies of a successful engagement, and coordinating, and integrating business development activities across multiple organizational units and divisions at HARMAN.

Your Team

The role will report to the Korea/Samsung Sales Lead at HARMAN DTS and will be positioned in the US.


What You Will Do

  • Work as part of Samsung sales/presales team with HARMAN senior management, account managers, heads of business units and SMEs.
  • Drive preparation and participate in Vendor Registration/NDA/RFI/RFP/Commercial Proposal sessions which require all sales processes from the beginning to the end.
  • Act as a single point of contact collaborating with HARMAN's Global Finance and Legal Divisions and providing a comprehensive targeted response.
  • Integrate technical solution implementation approach into business proposals, and build pricing models based on technical estimates, timelines, and cost analyses.
  • Create offline and online presentations featuring HARMAN values, experience, and services.
  • Continually collect and structure HARMAN's technological and business experience for further reuse by sales and presales teams.
  • Promote collaborations with the Korean/Global Team and educate the best practices to global teams.
  • Build and manage executive relationships with customers in Samsung US and Europe

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 20+ years of overall IT Sales experience and/or other technical, mathematical background
  • Having at least 10 years' experience in sales/bid lead manager-related responsibilities.
  • The candidate must have rich experience of the Samsung business either ex-Samsung or a partner with specific achievements at Samsung.
  • Excellent written and spoken skills in English/Korean
  • Understanding of IT outsourcing, software development life cycle
  • Understanding the needs of the client from a software development perspective is important and then using the managerial skills of high communication, proactive innovation and customer delight focus to achieve the goal and bring in the business should be a key aim of a presales consultant.
  • Candidate should not be constrained to new learning curves tech or business-wise.
  • Understanding the relationship between upcoming technology trends and the business values for clients.
  • Practical knowledge of and experience working with clients (ideally Onsite)
  • Open for International travel as required.

What is Nice to Have

  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience in project management and strategic consulting is a plus.
  • Experience in large-scale IT Application Systems and Infrastructure is a plus.
  • Expertise in Cloud environment/architecture/applications/technologies is a plus.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 50% for domestic and international travel.
  • Be willing to work in an office, manufacturing facility, or client site or work remotely full-time with occasional trips to the Samsung office location required.
  • Successfully completion of a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

What We Offer

  • The standard base salary for this position is $180,000 - $220,000
